Killer Tone last night!
« on: September 03, 2007, 11:24:06 AM »
G'day.

Just thought I'd do a mini report on some Warpigs!

Had practice with the new band last night - www.myspace.com/burningwarship - and used my singers Indie Les Paul with a Warpig set.  Now the guitar itself is very well made and sounds great acoustically, the Warpigs just make it sound like a beast!

Playing through my usual set of pedals (Tuner, Vox Wah, HBE Big D, Boss EQ and Marshall Delay) and my JCM800 - I had G O D L I K E tone.  I cut through beautifully, had enough gain on tap NOT to use my Big D (only used on one or two tracks where I needed a little more GRIND) AND I had a singing lead tone (not screaming though, think I need to set up the amp and EQ for the guitar).

The moral of this story - Warpigs are goood :D

PS - add my band!

PPS - anyone got an Abraxas, how well does it do the whole Classic Rock thing - need something that really screams on the leades, yet crunchces like a biznitch on the rhythms!

Andy!
GREAT GOOGILY MOOGILY!
