Today we lost a great musician who truly revolutionised music, bringing electronic instruments into jazz and thus creating the fusion that changed the face of music.
He worked with some of the true greats; Miles Davis, Chick Corea, John McLaughlin and of course Jaco Pastorius are but a few.
I was fortunate to bump into him outside Ronnie Scotts a few years ago, and he was a gracious gentleman.
We will miss you Joe, but your music will be with us forever.
I see a rainbow rising
Look there on the horizon
And I'm coming home

Oh bugger not another one gone

He seemed to have such an ability to discover other musicians and help them on to greater things.
Goodbye London !
