Guys in the attached pic...
Does the white wire from Middle Position on Switch to the Jack socket need to be shielded and if yes, what the hell do I ground it on?

No, that's the "hot" output wire, it doesn't need to be shielded.
But if the cavity itself is shielded you're covered anyway.

Cavity is shielded with 3 coats of conductive sheilding paint. Belt 'n braces...
