I love semi-misleading thread titles.

I'm part-exchanging my SG this week, thinking of something Strat flavoured for a change. Anything I can do to make it look better (and worth more) than it already is?

Gonna stick some new strings on it, anything I can do to polish it up and potentially cover a few belt scratches? Also some rusty pickups, should the slugs be easy to scr@pe clean? What is the best kitchen utensil to use?

Baring in mind any advice has to be quick and use common household items.

Oh and my surgical scalpel (don't ask) was great at stripping and snipping wires. I recommend every household gets one.

An SG special in ebony. Nice guitar, sounding reeeeally good right now, but I want rid of it, the neck doesn't agree with me, too fat and short.

Fell in love with a telecaster, and fender has my heart now.

Yep, image of the same model is attached.

Sounds like you want a trade, not  to help me hide some scratches

Not interested in trading that SG I'm afraid. Will stick my Apache loaded Strat details in Seconds Out soon though. I dont think I'll stick it on ebay. I rather it went to someone who's a BKP fan...

why do people ruin perfectly good guitars by wearing a stupid belt that gouges up the rear of the guitar?

WHY?????

To hold their trousers up. I turn my belt backwards so it doesn't cause havoc to the back of my axe ;).
