hm, i guess i'll have to make my wallet decide after all.
thanks for all the response  :)

Is there a price diff between the WP and the MM?!
I thought all the humbuckers were the same price ...

I've never played a Warpig, so I can't comment on it. TONS of experience using the Miracle Man, tho; I use it daily, in fact. Best 'metal' pickup I've ever owned.

Hails Steve... i have a different approach when talking about pickup styles.
i tried Several seymour duncan pickups... and the ones(didnīt try them all. didnīt try dimebucker, invader, paralel axis distortion, Livewire, duncan custom) that ALMOST suited me BETTER(I Said ALMOST) are : Custom custom, custom five(but i hated the lack of mids, THIS PISSES ME OFF)!
so... the ones i think will suit me better are the 2 i mentioned here and a Seth Lover and, probably a dimebucker. but i need to test it.
so... itīs not a fact that high output humbuckers, together with big bass response are always the better choice for extreme metal .
i, personally, not agree with this... this is why sometimes people can think iīm extremely exigent or a kick in the balls... but itīs not true .
Q:)
And that is the Iīm still have a little doubt about a Miracle man and The Mule.

No, but you need the highs and tight bass to play black metal. If you are de-tuning you will also need a tight bass to stop the low end sounding flabby.
No, high output pickups may not ALWAYS be the first choice for extreme metal but in this case I think that the Miracle man and the Warpig would do the job the best for the reasons that I stated above.

Hmm,I agree with Steve on this one, the Warpig is an awesome black metal pickup.......balanced mids, great bottom end and excellent high end cut coupled with masses of gain.Stuart Anstis, the original Cradle of Filth guitarist plays and loves this pickup.
Lower output pickups can sound great in high gain situations..........I play in an Ozzy tribute and regularly play a Mule loaded LP.The onlt down side is you get no help from the extra sustain that the higher gain pickups give through amp compression. Also the bottom end isn't as tight so.............you have to work alot harder for your money!

Personally I'd look at the Warpig first before Mules etc

I thought it was Trixter!! LOL

How could you mistake Herman Li's knee-length hair?! They're a damn fantastic band.

Anyway, back to the topic... I'd go for a set of warpigs if your wallet can comply. (They're roughly fifteen quid more than the other hbs, for the guy who asked.) I've played a fair bit of death metal before, and from the clips and what I've been told, these are you best bet for that brutal sound. I'd recommend MMs if you were shredding, but I don't think you are, although a MM might make for an interesting neck to go with a 'pig bridge...

you do not find the pickup for death metal..

death metal and metal in general has to come from within you! and then you let that voice from inside to speak through your fingers and guitar!

if you have a high gain amp or a heavy distortion pedal you can do death metal with a vintage fender!

but that's straying off topic, we're after good tone, not a matchbox full of bumble bees right?

my $0.02 first and foremost, for downtuning you need a tight pickup to retain the punch when playing in dropA and not having it sound like soggy spagetty.
my guess, from the BKP's is the warpig. there's a clip there with the warpig that is tuned in .. E, an octave lover than standard
i gotta spend more time in the players room and tune my ears to BKP's but in the meantime, you got lots of other people giving good advice here =)

Yah, i Agree with both of you.
and Unfortunately .. iīll have to buy These 3 pickups for my guitars.
Miracle Man, Warpig and Nailbomb(from these 3, the nailbomb is the one that i Underate.. cause i think it will not suit me.. but i can be wrong)

But i  am completely BLIND on WHICH neck pickup to go for... let me see what tha F|_|cki will do with my Red Charvel, and iīll be able to decide.
cause i guess my custom project will have to wait, and will not be Out this year.

Hails and thanks!

I completely Agree with you on the tight bass and down tunning stuff.
but i also like to add(correct me if ipm wrong, cause you guys have equaly or more knowledge on the TONE/Musical styles relationship than i have) that for Blackmetal, Mids are important too.
and the only musical style that needs NO mids, are the cr@ppy muddy "ALTERNA METAL"(As we call it here in brazil), often known as NU/NEW METAL.

It’s all down to personal preference really, if you want to have lots of mids then have lots of mids. Black metal is so varied you can’t really say it’s completely necessary or not.
