Nice! Not gonna rush out and get money for another Pod though, I'll save for the next one, hehe.

i wanna know if this x3 sounds any better, all i know is it comes with all the amps (i think) instead of having to buy the daft packs afterwards, and does 2 seperate chains of effects and amps at the same time

i think the bass amps are built in as well now, there's some vocal amps or something as well and the x3 live now has an fx loop

i think it's possible to have a guitarist using 1 chain and a bassist using the other, at the same time, don't quote me on that though :)

Yeah, it does all the stuff JDC says.  They say the tones are improved, and it's USB 2.0 as well.

Doesn't work with Gearbox or Guitar Port software yet though, they're planning to update the software next January.

I'm not rushing to buy one, but it's certainly interesting.  And good news for anyone after an XT, the price is bound to come down.

Certainly, but no rush on this one - I'm waiting for reviews, then a few months for the prices to settle down and for them to have all the software updates sorted out.

Plenty of time to sell some gear in the meantime  !  I reckon I'll definitely get rid of my GNX4 now - not that the Pod X3 will necessarily be any better, but I'm comfortable with Line 6 stuff, I like the manuals and the website etc.

Pod has always sounded horrible to my ears, the only half decent modeller in the Vox tonelab which smokes the POD 100 times over. Modelling to me just sounds kinda lame you miss all the picking dynamics and stuff.
lets wait and see what reviews this POD X3 gets

vox does sound better to my ears(why I bought a LE and sold my podxt), pods are good..but if you want the sound of a real valve amp...you can't beat a real valve amp......modellers are getting closer
