I prefer a more cutting sound.

Isnt that what the bridge pickup is for? :P

edit - Twinfan I reckon the neck IV Mule would be fine, I have the IV set in my LP and they sound great - makes sense to get that over anything else as its been designed to work with the bridge Mule! The neck ones a bit muddy sometimes but I guess thats just the nature of neck pickups in lps. Does the 'cheesy smooth Slash neck pickup leads' really well. The middle position with 2 IV Mules is really nice as well, it can sound quite singlecoil-like, sounds awesome with a slightly dirty amp and arpeggiated chords.

I think I used the neck pickup on the non-wah'd bits of this jam, about 2 minutes in I think - http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=493678&songID=5756940

Cheers guys.  I emailed Tim and he suggested the AIV Stormy Monday, which is what I thought he might say.  I'm going to try and get some stuff sold and order one...

Done - neck pickup ordered today.  AIV SM with heavily aged raw nickel cover.  Fully potted with 4 conductor wiring.  Should look and sound fantastic in the Tokai Relic  :D
