i ask Tim and he told me the following:

"Hi

I've had a quick look around the neck to try and track down some specs
for the C1 Classic and as far as I can tell you want 50mm spacing, long
leg, 4 con.............finish....it's hard to tell if the covers are
nickel or chrome in the pics so you'll have to check that......nickel
ages, chrome always stays shiney.

I also noticed that the C1 comes with Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz
pickups.....the NBs are quite close to these in output but have a better
clean tone and more organic mids. If you want to go hotter to handle the
Sabbath/Metallic tones better I would recommend Miracle Man over
Nailbomb.............if your preference is for brighter tones( ACDC,
Hendrix)then the Rebel Yell would be a better choice.

i just looked around and people say that the miracle man is good for trash metal and high gain...so im asking you if it will be any good for me, cause i dont get any harder than the old Metallica stuff and black sabbath (maybe some slayer and Pantera!!!

if the MM can handle black sabbath and metallica i was thinking of getting a Miracle Man in the bridge and a cold sweat (or Abreaxas) in the neck
ah yes and dont forget that i also want to have decent cleans!!!

ps.: i use the neck pickup for clean and the bridge for distorted sound!!!

ah...i use a engl fireball....do you think it gets to destorted in combination with a MM?

Did you listen to the sound of TwilightOdyssey in the link that he added in this post? I still think that the Cold Sweat/Abraxas or even Cold Sweat calibrated set will get what you want. I changed the pickups and have played the guitar so I know the sounds that it can get.

Far be it for me to contradict what Tim thinks will work best, but all I can say is: I think I've amply demonstrated what the CS/Abraxas can do, as well as the MM. The choice is yours to make, not ours. It's your guitar, your amp, your money.

Do I think a Nailbomb will sound better than the Cold Sweat? Personally, no. But my playing style is very different from Tim's; he's a very aggressive player that can coax the most face melting tones out of any guitar.

And there ya have it.

hmmm so i'll have to decide:

1.) neck: cold sweat
bridge: Miracle Man

2.) neck: Abraxas
bridge: cold sweat

3.) cold sweat calibrated set

man a damn hard decision....

Abraxas pickup in the neck is able to play the clean parts....i'll take these two!!! (though im the lead guitarist)

im using the bridge for the heavy, destortion stuff and the neck for the clean....that would be ok with these pickups?

And both of those would be excellent for leads. If the Cold Sweat is anything like John Sykes' sound. And people say it is. So yeah.

ben says that the rhythm guitars in his band are the Cold Sweat bridge pickup....and do they have the Abraxas in the neck?...sorry i couldnt figure it out cause i dont understand english that good.... :roll:

so can i use the bridge pickup for destortion and the neck for clean?

Yes, all the rhythm's in TO's clip are Cold Sweats (2 guitarists, but both have CS bridge pickups). The cleaner mellower lead tones are the Abraxas neck, the more agressive leads are a Miracle Man bridge in another guitar. The best example of the Abraxas lead tone is on the intro to Outlanders, where you can hear the notes really ring out.

btw this band sounds awsome...they play great riffs and remind me somehow of Iron Maiden!
