Help, please. Ceramic Warpigs?
« on: October 22, 2007, 12:45:33 PM »
Hi, I currently have an Ernie Ball MusicMan Petrucci, but I am thinking
about selling it to pickup two guitars in it's place. I think I'm going
to get a G&L strat and another Ibanez.... probably an S-series ibanez
with a floating trem. I will want a set of pickups for the Ibanez.

Here are 3 bands of the kind of guitar sound I am wanting:

Born of Osiris
Www.myspace.com/bornofosiris

The Faceless
Www.myspace.com/thefaceless

Between The Buried And Me
Www.myspace.com/betweentheburiedandme

Wanting something very tight and aggressive for riffing, with some nice
smooth leads on the neck pickup. I have been dicking around for too long
trying to get something that works for me, so I just want to get an
ibanez and get some pickups in it meant for full on extreme tech/death
metal like the bands posted.

Also, I think the amp will be a Mesa Roadster (Dual Rectifier), which is
a pretty loose amp, so I think a super tight pickup is what I need.
Should I be looking to get a set of Ceramic Warpigs? Or maybe ceramic
warpig bridge and coldsweat neck?

By the way I love the clips member lepersmeesa has posted of his ceramic
warpigs.... even his clean clips of it sound VERY good, which surprised
me.

Help me out, guys. I'm going to copy and paste this in an email to Tim
as well.

Thanks,
Josh

i think the painkiller would be "enough"
i didn't play the ceramic version of warpig, so i can't talk about
if you're planning to use a booster, the painkiller would be more useful, cause the cwp must have so much output, that you would have to low the level knob anyway (as i usually did with my ex-guitar w/ miracle man)

The C-Pig is what you want.
