Miracle Man humbucker set - BKP Demo
« on: April 24, 2005, 06:39:26 PM »
Here's a demo of the Miracle Man I put down at HJM's last weekend.
Guitar-LP with Miracle Man humbucker set
Amp: HJMs stock JCM800 into 2x 12 cab
Effects:Keeley SD1 and Real McCoy Wizard Wah.

Like the Mule demo, the cab was close mic'ed with a SM57 mike, the volume was low so the speakers aren't working that hard   but HJM's got neighbours!!
No EQ added and the amp was set the same as The Mule clip.

The rhythm is doubled  and panned 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. Solo 1 is bridge and SD1 only, solo 2 is neck, SD1 and Wah

There is a clean bridge/neck tone in the 2nd break if you listen hard although bare in mind the Miracle Man is a weapon of war

Hopefully you'll get the idea of what can be done with the Miracle Man although this is only a brief clip and depending on amp/guitar combinations you can do so much more. Let me know what you think :!:

BKP - "Wound, made and played the traditional way --- by hand!" Amen.

Rude not to :D
Hopefully the clip gives you an idea of what the Miracle Man sounds/performs like, as if you hadn't guessed

Just thought I'd add that the Miracle Man humbucker was what started this all off(BKP I mean). That and the Stormy Monday humbucker were the first I worked on. The R&D stage  of BKP was over a year  long before we went 'live' as it were and I still tweak specs all the time if I find a better way of doing a wind or better materials.

Nice playing, ok tone.

The above statement may be slightly under exaggerated.

I've only heard top notch stuff in this room so far, and with the head of the company having chops like that, bkp is gonna go far

Like I said, I recorded this through HJM's rig not my own and we had to record very quietly so the full force of the Miracle Man humbuckers didn't really come across but it gives you a ballpark idea of the tone they can produce. For a more organic tone the Nailbomb is the way to go(check Steve's great clip) although if you're into the Zakk thing these are the ones.
The Warpig takes the saturated gain tone even further.

All the clips sound great, and the playing damn good too. But it's not making it easy to pick the next set of pickups. Looking forward to the Warpig & VH 2 demos.  :D  I think I'll practice some more before posting any demos of my own

I've been thinking about recording something with my Warpig equipped beast but how am I gonna fit sparkling clean, rock 'n roll overdrive, drop tuned metal and a bluesy fiddly bit into one song. And how am I gonna get that onto my computer?

Im up for getting a set of these fitted into my LP, i cant wait to give them a bash! Tim said these pickups are good if you are into the whole Zakk thing - that sums me up almost completely! Zakk is a god and is a real inspiration to my playing so hazar i think ive found my pickups!

Hmmm ... you obviously didn't hear about his meltdown in Hollywood last night.
