Yeah, Sambo got his blue Burny LP there.  Likewise with my ObG goldtop, which was meant to be "near mint" but had loads of dings and - more importantly - several loose fretboard inlays which I had to get fixed by Jonathan.

It was actually a really good guitar, but the experience turned me against it and I sold it pretty quick.  Probably should've kept it really.

yeah, that happens me too, if it leaves a bad taste in my mouth i'll never really like it... i've missed out on a couple of things i may have liked because of that.

:)

that sucks about the guitar, though- couldn't you have sent it back? (i'm sure you thought of that, though  )

Yeah, I considered it, but even if he'd offered me a full refund I'd still have had to pay shipping, there and back, with nothing to show for it.  I hate doing that.

And there'd have been the inevitable awkward discussion/argument about what constitutes "near mint".  I'm not very good at being confrontational - unless I'm really angry.  I do have a hell of a temper, but it only flares up briefly and very occasionally!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

^ yeah, same here (about the temper). if i were really annoyed, i'd have tried to make him eat the postage (i don't see why, if he misdescribed it, the buyer should have to cover it!)...

:)
