Uh Oh.........the guitar bug bit again this weekend.
I picked up a wonderful Washburn HB35 in wine red. For any of you ES335 lovers out there this is a superb guitar for the price. The construction is maple with a mahogany block running down the middle, and its acoustic tone is as good as any Gibson ES335's I've tried in recent times. I happilly changed the strings over to my usual 10's and noodled away over the weekend without plugging it in, just enjoying the playability and the acoustic tone from it, but yestaerday I decided to plug it into the Marshall..............
Ahhh...........
The Washburn 621 and 623 humbuckers are obviously ceramic, or similar over-powered things (why stick high output humbuckers in a semi-acoustic Washburn???

) and they cause my Marshall to overdrive even on my clean channel.
Now I realise that re-wiring a 335 is a whole day at the workbench with a couple of cold beers and a lot of patience, but anyone got any suggestions as to which of Tims excellent products should be going in it? I was thinking 'Stormy Mondays'...........any other suggestions?
