I have a fairly good idea what the problem is with stupid people on this planet, but my opinions and those of Terence McKenna are fairly controversial and likely to stir up some haters, hehe.
Before I say this I'd like to point out that I in no way like manmade drugs (such as E, cocaine, heroine etc...) or like the idea of drug use, but in Terence McKenna's book "Food of the Gods" he makes a lot of sense about some natural and un-tampered substances....
Basically, when the world got westernised, we basically lost Shamanistic societies who now only exist in small pockets across the globe. I was sceptical but I have to believe that we stopped evolving and started getting dumber when humans made certain Mushrooms and other psychedelic plants Taboo.
I'm not going to even try and explain this the way he does, as I'm really nowhere as intelligent, but basically there are chemicals in psychedelics and hallucinogenics (natural, untampered with ones) that break down certain thought barriers chemically in your head and make your thought process more open to other ways of going about things. There are certain periods in history where Apes and "Neanderthals" have gone through amazing spurts of progress in less time than it should have taken, and some research shows that certain plants etc were present in their diets and rituals at these times.
There ya go, a different take on things, hehe. One wonders if we should all conspire to plant some extra ingredients in certain world leaders drinks one day and see them all come to some kind of sense and stop all the stupid stuff they do.
Wow. What started out as a dumb-ass bashing thread may have taken an intellectual turn!
(Back to silly Nadzilla now...) I reckon we should get all the dumb people on the planet and dump them on a big island in the middle of the Ocean and make them go Gladiator style with each other, heh. That dumb people sterilization idea sounds fairly cool. D'oh! That's me stuffed then!
If anyone is interested, it has some great science, theories and messages in it, it's called "Food of the Gods" by Terence McKenna. It's also kinda his way of screaming "WAKE UP!!!" at the world in regards to the current environmental crisis that has started gripping the planet. So it's effects are multiple and although I need a Thesaurus next to me when I "attempt" to read it, I get the general gist and it's a fairly refreshing read.
