"Bacchus" guitars?

musicground stock HBE pedals, right?

they quoted me something like £250 or £300 for a big d... list is £165.

I wasn't buying, but it's the principle. what i've heard from you guys doesn't surprise me.

oh, and i'm no lawyer, but as far as I'm aware, if something is faulty, you can ask for a refund, credit note, or replacement; however, it's the BUYER'S choice, not the shop's. Problem is, the law says once the buyer has made a choice, the shop is under no obligation to let you change your mind, which explains why often shops will try to fob you off with a credit note- if they can get you to agree, they're off scot-free, basically.

So don't accept one!

EDIT: i'm not sure it's that hard to enforce, philly. Granted, if they want to take it as far as court, but generally unscrupulous business-people are taking advantage of shoppers who don't know the law... once they realise you do, unless they're very stupid, they won't push it. Amazing what mentioning the letters "OFT" can do...

:D
