Sad to see another TT leave. They are great amps, but somehow they sound best at a volume which is too much for home and not enough for band ...

Nope, had it for sale but no takers.  I'll keep it now as my practice amp and sell the TT as I don't need both.  The TT will sell easier.

Totally agree.  I'd just get their normal plexi kit and substitute the different OT in the kit for the KT66s.

All this talk has got me seriously interested in building a dual OT JTM45/100, it's just a sound thats a little different and not readily available at the minute.

You may have to watch the spacing between the valve sockets on a regular Plexi kit - not sure you'll fit the chunky Shuguang KT-66s in there?

If my amp sounds as good as the 'DC clips of the Metroamp one, I'm going to be a happy man.  Imagine these clips with a bit less bass and an SG with Riff Raffs instead of a Les Paul......

Sounds pretty good tho I cant help think it sounds like theres too much gain/fizz going on for the rhythm tones.

Could be the recording I guess?  The basic tone sounds great to me, I'm sure I can make it work  ;)

Ahh, good point - certainly worth looking into, though I've previously fitted both 6550s and KT88s in standard Marshall heads with no problems.

If the JTM45/100 chassis' have wider spacing for the KT66s, I'll get one.  I know Ceriatone do an aluminium 45/100 chassis and Metro do them from time to time.  If I'm gonna do it, might as well do it right.
