Despite the "help wanted" ad posted at OZZY OSBOURNE's official website which states he's looking for a guitar player, ZAKK WYLDE's management told Billboard.com today that "Zakk will play with Ozzy until they are both in the grave." A spokesperson for Osbourne wouldn't reveal whether Ozzy's in need of a lead or rhythm guitarist.

Although with regards to Zakk, I think Ozzy's wanting him to do his own thing and is nurturing that because he knows it's important to Zakk, and Zakk can't live in Ozzy's basement forever. :lol:

As for recognizeable people up for the slot, I heard mutterings of Dave Navarro from one place, and that Ozzy had tried Buckethead but he just won't ditch the KFC bucket and silver mask, silly bugger. I think it'd be cool if he found another complete unknown though, that'd rock.

Someone suggested that Sharon might try and make a reality show of it, like one of those pop idol things.... I sure would lose all hope and faith in the universe if that happened!

I think I'd lose all faith and hope if she didn't make a reality show of it!  I mean, the universe I normally live in is the one with Sharon cheesily squeezing every last penny out of everything, and I'd know something had gone wrong if she wasn't .... ;)

I sometimes think the best hope for peace in the Middle East is to have Sharon Osbourne appointed chief negotiator.  Man, if she couldn't scare every party into toeing her line, no one could!  I mean, she made Zakk trim his beard, so everything else oughta be easy ;)

If you think about it, Zakk has been Ozzy's guitarist the best part of 20 years. I remember Zakk without his beard.

If they did a Shred Idol, I suspect that we wouldn't find anybody of Zakk's originality. He was the first rock guitarist (I remember) learning how to play country music. It would be substandard Steve Vai wannabe's rather than somebody who truly suited Ozzy. Metallica's some kind of monster shows the auditions for Jason Newsted's replacement.
