But yeah, the top half of the body is way too small.

Looks like its trying to mimic the change from ML to Razorback, with the middle of the body being really skinny.

Not my thing really, but the fretboard + inlays are nice

I just realised, the body shape's actually based on the Gibson Futura, the prototype of the Explorer (and it says "Futura Custom Prophecy" on the headstock  :wink: ):

You just can't improve the classic Explorer shape. Many have tried and failed miserably.

Explorers rule. I have 2. I've had 3.

That is pig ugly.

Looks like it would probably be comfortable to play, but pray tell me, what exactly is uncomfortable about a normal explorer?

Explorers are very comfortable. Although mine was a bit neck heavy, it was a joy to sit down with it.
