Thanks guys! :D Strangely enough, the white SG is a cheaper model, the cherry one was a lot more expensive. But in terms of playability and sound they're very, very close.

I always wonder what would happen if I phoned somewhere that said "phone for price". Would they ask me to make an offer and then laugh at how inadequate the offer was?

Yeah, something like that. Or you ask, they tell you, and you mumble "Oh... OK..." in a very quiet, shellshocked kind of of way. Then you hang up quickly just as the other blokes in the shop start sniggering. Smug tw@ts. :oops:

I see where you're coming from - I think I'd want a bit of extra power to cut through that huge mass of maple and mahogany.

Those Yamahas really are beautiful, I'd rather have one than a Les Paul right now (although I'll probably change my mind next week :roll: ). I can't buy one though, they're just too heavy for me.

I really like the color.
