Thanks guys!  :D  Strangely enough, the white SG is a cheaper model, the cherry one was a lot more expensive.  But in terms of playability and sound they're very, very close.

I am, I'm afraid, a lot more St. Hubbins than Lee.  :(

I always wonder what would happen if I phoned somewhere that said "phone for price". Would they ask me to make an offer and then laugh at how inadequate the offer was?
I think I hate being indecisive.

Yeah, something like that.  Or you ask, they tell you, and you mumble "Oh... OK..." in a very quiet, shellshocked kind of of way.  Then you hang up quickly just as the other blokes in the shop start sniggering.  Smug tw@ts.

Tim recommended me a Mule neck and Riff Raff bridge pickup...but I'm more thinking about a calibrated set of Cold Sweats to tighten things up with better cut, clarity and power through all the heavy mahogany. I've also heard the Cold Sweats are great in neck through guitars.

I see where you're coming from - I think I'd want a bit of extra power to cut through that huge mass of maple and mahogany.

Those Yamahas really are beautiful, I'd rather have one than a Les Paul right now (although I'll probably change my mind next week   ).  I can't buy one though, they're just too heavy for me.

Here's another picture from my Yamaha  :)

It's begging for some BKP's, but I don't know which yet. Tim recommended me a Mule neck and Riff Raff bridge pickup...but I'm more thinking about a calibrated set
of Cold Sweats to tighten things up with better cut, clarity and power through all the heavy mahogany. I've also heard the Cold Sweats are great in neck through

I hate you for not giving me that guitar for free...

Yamhammer, that is a gorgeous Yamaha.

I really like the color.

I´d like one of these some day. Yamaha SG3000 in violin burst abalone inlay and binding, the works!
