There's something about the Mira I personally just can't love though. I think they're too close to an SG for me? I'd probably really like one if I could get past that though :)
For me, it's the fact that it
is like an SG - but different enough to be worthwhile. I like the control arrangement and there's always the option of replacing the 3-way switch with a 5-way.
I always felt like I "should" have
one PRS for my collection (well, I did have an EG once but it's long gone). But beautiful maple tops, bird inlays etc aren't my thing - I like looking at PRSs in shops, but I never saw one I actually felt tempted to buy. There is the PRS Standard of course, but they're still quite pricey and you don't see many around.
I wasn't sure about the Mira at first, but every time I've seen one the design has grown on me. And £1,100 is more than I'd usually spend, but for a
PRS it seems a crazy bargain (well almost, in a way... ).
Ohh! They have so many stunning PRSs in stock. You did well to come away with just the Mira! :)
 But that's the thing for me, they're
all so stunning I could never pick one out. The Mira stands out because it's simpler!
You buy a guitar for the wood and the build, then you put BK's in it, that's just the way the world works.
You're right - there's a sort of karmic inevitability about it!
