Guys, I would really like to see someone calculate the share of this forum of for example the total turnover on guitar related products in the uk.

Might be close to 1% ...

Oh and Phil ... why would you wanna buy a Gibbo Faded if you could have a much better spec and quality instrument from Edwards? Just to feed some even more GAS

I was just saying the guitars I liked the look and price of, I'm sure once I try them I won't like them either, but the BJA case is great!! Usually though I find Epiphones have a narrower nut than Gibson's - certainly all my older ones have had.

As for Edwards, I very rarely see them in the US.  In fact I'm not sure that I have ever seen one over here.  I have some Japanese guitars and know the quality.

I'm really not in the market for a Les Paul (as one in my guitars being made is a Les Paul custom hybrid) - though if I find a nice LP Deluxe I might change my mind!   I thought that the faded for $1,600 was very cheap though.
So many pickups, so little time

Fair point, and I was forgetting the case is part of the deal!

What exactly does Philly's collection comprise of? You should do a load of threads like Phil King did, as you often say that you have too many of this type, and several of....
The Mira is a bit of a different guitar, every time I look at it, something seems odd

I was like that when I first saw it, but now everytime I look at it something else seems right...

I hope this a hit for PRS.

Ted - I wish you hadn't said that. I always thought the Mira was odd looking. In the last few minutes I have started seeing things that aren't so odd.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Ha, maybe one day!  :D  Phil's collection is much more interesting than mine, because he has lots of vintage stuff... and lots of guitars with BKPs so they're relevant to the forum.  And I don't have any nice furniture to arrange them on.

Basically I have:

3 SGs
4 LP/LP Jr types (but no proper Gibson LP Standards or Customs)
2 V types
3 Teles
2 Strats (both hardtails *)
1 proper PRS and 1 PRS SE
1 vintage guitar - 1965 Melody Maker
1 acoustic
1 bass
4 miscellaneous electrics (Hamer, Edwards, Gordon-Smith, Spirit by Steinberger)
4 home-made Frankenstein guitars (all in bits and never, ever used except for testing pickups)

I think that's it.

(* That's for Woogie's benefit!   )
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Phil - why do you never use your frankensteins?

Very similar indeed. I wonder if we will be seeing another Gibson/PRS court case. I very much doubt it.
