the neck on my agile les paul is very similar to the 80s ibanez necks in fact it was slimmer than on my 82 rocket roll II

The Gibson 60's slim tapered necks are all different. The basic profile is the same but you do get variations of slimness in different guitars. I have played a few Classics and DC's that had
very
slim necks indeed.
It could be worth trying a few more out to see if you come across a superslim one - unless it's the basic profile that's the problem for you.

if you want pretty much the exact Les Paul style, Agile makes them with option of thin, regular, and wide on most of their models.
