I have to say I prefer the Apaches over the Tours, the Apaches are more versatile, they can be polite or rude, responding to your picking - I love the Apaches!

Something to keep in mind is.........not all Strats are equal, some are way brighter, some really dark.............the trick is matching up the coils for the job.
I love Apaches but on a really bright Strat Irish Tours beef up the tone a lot better............I must admit though, since developing the Apaches, they haven't left my Strat 8)
