Agree entirely. I think the whole "relic" concept is just b*&*&ks for people with too much money. But then, what do I know :?

I really hate "reliced" guitars.

However, there are few things as nice in the guitar world as an authentically aged guitar, for example a beautiful crisp ice white which has, over time, turned into a slightly dodgy looking cream colour. Fit as.

What about this? It is a new build using many original parts with a Rebel Yell and 2 Mother's Milks. I think it is perfect :D

he gets the crazing a lot more accurate than most of the fender relics i have seen... very nice indeed

my guitar is 25yrs old it doesn't need relicing.. it's already done through time.

It is brand new just out of the workshop. I pick it up next month when I am back in England. I have real 57, 60 and 63 strats but they are getting too expensive to take out now. This is a great alternative, it looks and feels like an old guitar, but is replaceable if anything happens to it (though they take about 15 months to make!!).

That looks great, that looks some of the most "natural" relicing I've ever seen - it doesn't look like some bugger's just taken a sheet of sandpaper to it for a start. :D

Oh, and expect to see me robbing your house for them three Strats at some point in the near future.

Thanks everyone, it is a Bravewood. I was lucky enough to get in when John was still taking orders. I will give more info when I get it, but I have played other guitars he made and they all feel just like real vintage ones. This is a 64 curved board in Fiesta Red.
