Thanks for all the replies!
Actually WesV I am tempted by the Manhattans but not for this particular guitar (Its a LP Standard with Burstbucker Pros which sound respectable at high gain but uninspiring clean in a Rivera Chubster).
ilyti: yes, I for one would be most interested to hear a Jazz piece with a classic Jazz tone, if you get the time to record it. Indeed if any one feels like playing a chord clean with the tone at 0, 3, 7 and 10, I'd love to hear it.
So the recommendations are Mules, Stormys, VHIIs, Abraxas and 1 for Warpig.
I was leaning towards the VHIIs which on the clean shoot out had an exceptional highs and defined bassend, but was also wondering about
i) Black Dogs as a pair or
ii) VHII neck, Abraxas as bridge combo.
Good idea bad idea?
What are the tonal differences between the hot trads (Dog etc) and the trad trads (Mules, Stormys)?
