the paduak was red but was turning more brown... it needed a respray anyway.. we were doing black... its going to be black :D

block coulour or kinda see through(see the grain)

its a nearly completetly black - you might see some grain in bright lights

i'm actually really interested to see what the shape looks like with just a block colour - most of the ones i do are decidely woody

WE GOT IT!

We'll post up some more pics soon, but I just have to say a HUGE thanks to Wez for a really great guitar, it looks spectacular, and feels really nice to hold. It's probably my overall favourite guitar at the moment. That might be because it's new, but what the hell.

It plays really well, even with my playing, fantastic clean tones (I guess thanks to Tim are in order here too) the Rif Raff neck is a beautifully well rounded tone. The bridge rocks up nicely with a little gain, and holds it's own up to some pretty heavy distortion.

I don't think there is much hope of Sue not playing it so I can have it, guess I'll have to get my own...

Thanks again Wez, it really is awsome. If you are ever in these parts do drop in, I think we owe you a coffee at least, and the chance to play it through the Rockerverb, which works really well.

Excellent- I bet that seemed like a long week. A week may be a long time in politics-its an age if you are waiting for a new guitar.

thx rich, it was great to meet you guys and finally put faces to names.

just make sure you both keep me informed of how its getting on... its a bit easier letting them go when you know they have gone to good homes!!

its been an especially fun project for me, cool inlay, fantastic woods, great finish and one of the favorite of my designs (kid in a sweet shop)... all capped off by a really amazing sound which made the long wait to the finish line worthwhile for me

I'm just resting my limbs after giving the new guitar a good, long workout. I'm very happy with my acquisition, it looks stunning (and unique), and is VERY easy to play. The tone also has real depth to it and is very different to anything else I have (loads of bite).

I must admit to a fair amount of fiddling, truss rod, action, pup height, etc. But I'm a fiddler by nature and whenever I get a new guitar it takes me a few weeks to dial it in to what I eventually settle on, and to honest that’s half the fun :D
