yeah, watched all of the second series.   I thought they were mucking about quite a bit, not sure which direction to take it.   1 really awfull singing episode i really didnt enjoy (not like 'once more with feeling' in buffy).    They did do a brilliant episode with time travelling robocop that i found rather moving.  i enjoyed last coule as well.

Yeah I just watched that singing one and agree it was cr@p! As with most tv shows the first season was best :) I haven't finished it all yet, got a few more to watch still I think.

yeah i'm going to have to find some more tv... 24 finishes tomorrow night, lost is finished, the pacific has one episode left tonight... Only have dexter left (and that's if i can find a way to catch up  )...

EDIT: oh cr@p, did anyone watch that spoof/comedy snowboarding thing last night on bbc2 (i think... it was one of the terrestrial channels, anyway)... It promised to be the worst film ever, and was actually pretty bad (but in a good way), but i enjoyed it. Just about my level. EDIT: just checked wiki... it was called Out Cold. David Koechner was in it (he was in anchorman, i think), so that tells you how high brow it was.

24 ending was pretty good, definitely open for another series or film if they decide to milk it for all it's worth  The only TV I have left is a few episodes of House, Fringe season finale and the rest of Breaking Bad S3.

Now watching some cr@p film called The Mist. Quite funny in a "so bad it's good" kinda way.

I really want to watch Shutter Island, just read the book and it was really good (finished it in about 7 hours!) so I'm interested to see the film now.

I actually couldn't watch during "that bit", horrible!

Good film though, I was expecting "just" a dysfunctional-relationship story so I was pleasantly surprised by the supernatural elements (real or imagined).  Almost like an arthouse Evil Dead.

I'll be getting the Criterion Blu-ray when it comes out.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

Grave of the Fireflies - Great animated film, I've been wating a long tine to see it and I highly recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it. The story is of a young Japanese boy and his little sister during the end of WWII. Heartbreaking story and you will cry

Where the Wild Things Are - Now this was an interesting watch and one of those film that I'm unsure where I stand. It's not like the book (which I was obsessed with as a child) which is fine. The film is dark, sombre and introspective and IMO not a film for children. There is a foreboding and depressed atmosphere that hangs over the entire length of the film. This isn't the usual pop-culture kids flic but an art movie that allow adults to reminisce about the mixture of elation and sadness experienced in childhood.
A generous heart, kind speech and a life of service & compassion are the things which renew humanity

^ I loved the book, which I bought for my kids, and they love it too.

I was realyl excited when the film when it came out, and we all rushed along to see it.

Not at all what I expected...  I enjoyed it, the kids less so, but it was kinda bleak.  An interesting film, but not at all what I expected...

I watched Coraline last night. I was dead impressed by the visuals, voice acting and overall tone of the film. One of the most enjoyable things I've watched for a while.

It made me ball like a baby, but it's probably the best war movie I've ever seen (not that it's a genre I'm particularly interested in).

the 'now what?' refers to the last line of luther... which i enjoyed.  it seemed to sum up the lack of anything good to watch
