Is Liam Neeson only good when he has a beard?  That's a rule-of-thumb I apply to Ryan Reynolds movies.

He has a beard in:

Blade: Trinity
The Amityville Horror
Smokin' Aces
Wolverine (I think... maybe not)

I know those aren't exactly great, but they're a damn sight better than Van Wilder, Just Friends or The Proposal.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Definitely Maybe. Ryan Reynolds without a beard and a good movie  :D

I haven't seen Definitely, Maybe, but I see it's a romcom so it's pretty much a dead cert I wouldn't like it.  :P

I did like Adventureland, and he's beardless in that.... it's not a hard and fast rule, just a guideline!

Karate Kid was OK, improved for me because I recognised the locations (and even some of the people :o ). Personally found it a bit strange watching 12 year olds beating each other senseless.

I take it that romcom equals romantic comedy (I'm I right?). Definitely Maybe is no where near a comedy. Romantic drama is much more appropriate. I'm not really into the whole romantic drama/comedy/whatever-thing, but Definitely Maybe is definitely worth watching. You shold give it a chance, Philly  :D

Just watched Legion, it got terrible reviews and it is a poor film but I though it was better than the reviews portrait. Kind of sums up those type of films, crazy plot, hideous dialogue, endless gun-play, ending sets up the  sequel etc. Avoid... unless you love cheese  :?

Knight and Day. Surprisingly good actually. Nothing deep or outstanding but a good action/comedy film and for once Tom Cruise was likeable!

Shutter Island - it took all of 20mins to know he was a patient - enjoyable nonetheless

yeah, i watched shutter island last night.

tbh  i also guessed the him being a patient thing quite early, but was really expecting a bit more than that since it seemed so obvious from the moment we are introduced to a character convinced  she is living a different life.

I liked it though, and i liked that the extreme psychological 'treatment' worked and he decided to die a man rather than live as a monster

I watched the original Planet of the Apes last night. First time I have seen it - not bad at all. Nova was very nice indeed.
I think I hate being indecisive.
