Sounds interesting. WW1 is one of my specialist subjects and I would like to see that.

Anyone seen 'The Red Baron', I think its a German production, as an answer to 'Flyboys'.

Good Lord, someone who's heard of "Flyboys"?  Sheesh I thought that one had quietly crept away and died.  I worked on that, ahem, masterpiece and let's just say it's not the highlight of my career.  :?

Whats wrong with it? You work in animation I seem to recall?

I should probably say you work in CGI or something rather than animation I think :)

Also at the time of watching it (probably would be the same now though), I was appreciating it for historical drama rather than full on film. I quite enjoy the WW_ type films.

I don't know enough of the history to comment on that but we made the planes as accurate as we could.  I just found the whole film over-long and a bit too "TV-movie", especially the romantic angle, but from what I understand, the aviation nuts loved it so it has its niche I guess.  I'm more impressed that anyone has heard of it, from what I understood it played for about a week in one cinema about a year after it was finished.  Having just checked Amazon, I see it's on Blu-Ray now.  Wonders will never cease.

not a bad movie, in my opinion... million times better than any pearl harbor rubbish, anyway!
we need more WWI movies...
Red Baron is very nice, just they decided strangely enough to shoot it directly in english, so actors sound a bit unnatural at times, with quite strong accents...
i saw it in english and tried it in german too... german track is dubbed!
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)

This week, I have watched:

Donkey Punch
Saxon
Transporter 3
Redbelt

None of them worth the bother.  It's ages since I saw a really good new film.

(Edit:  I was a bit harsh on Redbelt - there are some very silly plot twists but it is worth a watch.  Very good extras on the DVD too.)

Saw 'let the right one in' last night, thought i was very good. Dialogue was in sweedish
but it was subtitled in english. I wouldn't recommend it if you scare easily though,
not that it's a ful blown horror film by any stretch of the imagination

Went to see the new Fast and Furious. What a load of absolute bollucks  The blatant advertising for Corona was the best bit of the whole movie, but nobody else in the theatre was laughing?
LOVING the Mules!

Hope you didnt pay to see that haha

The worst thing about that film is that some people off my uni course (who should really know the difference between a good one and a shite one) think its great

Lol, i too saw fast and furious a few weeks ago, i wasn't expecting much given it's pedigree,
lol so wasn't overly dissapointed.

I honestly would recommend people to see 'let the right
one it' it was extremely good, i have to admit getting scared by it though. Think i used all
my resistance to being scared when i watch 'Night-mare on Elm Street' when i was 4 haha

Been on a bit of a Guy Ritchie kick, inspired by Snatch Wars  So I've just been watching

Snatch
Rock N Rolla
Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels

I just love the style of these films

Another few historical films. Defiance, and Valkyrie. Both were particularly good I felt, with Defiance being a better all rounder.
Also watched My Bloody Valentine, I wish I had seen it in 3d at the cinema. Worth the watch atleast

I haven't seen it without, but the 3-D was pretty good and definitely added to the experience!

I just got the original 1981 version on DVD.
