LOADS of important Rorschach missed out, including "Possibly homosexual. Must investigate further.." and the like which go towards showing him to be complete and utter bastard, he get's off in the film pretty easy, I'd like to think this wasn't because of studio pressure to avoid having an overtly right wing "hero"...

I reckon the way Ozy was made camp as fecking Christmas probably was some ass-witted compensation for that. Snyder did the same thing with Xerxes in 300. What's the story with that, like?

The more I think about Watchmen, the more the missing stuff annoys me.

Because of the changed ending, Bubastis isn't explained and surely loads of folks were thinking "what's this cat with antaenne?

Hollis Mason being beaten to death with his humanitarian award, which is a pretty vital part of the build up of tension in the public.

Virtually none of Dr. Manhattan's speech on Mars with his photo, which explains how he sees the world since his transformation.

I still think it was great. I'm just quite confused about why

+1 on the Hollis Mason and the Rorshach not being a bar-steward enough bits. Also, without the New Frontiersman articles you don't really understand just quite how right wing it is, and as such just quite how right wing Rorshach's fave newspaper is.

Oh, and everyone was thinking wtf with Bubastis :p

I heard there are blue alien c--ks in watchmen. Based on that I refuse to watch it

Very late to this one but I only just got round to watching Kill Bill. I absolutely love the way Tarantino tells stories, his films are all so good (except Death Proof which I just found a bit boring). Need to watch Vol. 2 now :)

Not a current film, but I watched 'In Bruges' the other night, and thought it was a cracking film.

JM: I reckon I owe you a favour, will get you a digital copy sorted for Saturday. Extended and unrated :D

and the genre, well its not something that can be taken seriously.
American Pie got old after the first one, there can't be follow ups on these methinks.

I watched it today Will. Yeah its pretty funny, those scenes in the trailer park had me in fits!

I was most impressed by Andy and Randy's scenes, and the bit where they are at the fun fair.
Glad you got on with it!

Just got through 'Yes man' (Jim Carey says yes to everything)
Some great acting there, and there was also Zooey Deschanel to look at. I didn't expect it to be as funny as it was, however there was the cliche heartbreak scene leading to finale in the last quarter.

^ Yes Man was good but formulaic. Nice concept.

Saw Slumdog Millionare on Saturday. I'm a bit late to the party and it's probably already been discussed but I've honestly never seen another film that could keep me that gripped for two solid hours. It was also the most successful dual narrative style film I've ever seen.

I just saw the boat that rocked, which was a little aimless, but great fun.

Just went to see Monsters vs Aliens in 3D! Pretty good actually, though I found the 3D didnt always work, some things appear quite blurry and badly defined though could just be my vision, havent had an eye test in about 15 years haha!

Made me jump a few times when things come flying out the screen at you

Apparently Coraline is a really good one for 3D.

I've seen a couple of horror movies in 3-D recently, the My Bloody Valentine remake which was pretty shite but had some good 3-D effects, and Scar which was just shite.

Anyone seen 'The Red Baron', I think its a German production, as an answer to 'Flyboys'.

I loved how it was scripted to show a sense of honour between airmen. On an historical level, it also stayed quite true IIRC. WWI is not my best area in history.
Two hours long, but if you can take it, and have an interest in 20th Century warfare, WATCH IT!
