I've never felt the urge to watch You, Me and Dupree.

I reckon it would be right up your street Philly. Better than all of that world cinema nonsense anyway

I watched that a while ago. I do like Kate Hudson. Owen Wilson deserves a good kicking though for playing the same character yet again. That man has soooo much range.

yeah, he has become very slightly typecast.

I like Hudson, I like Wilson (at least in Wes Anderson films), but I've never felt the urge to watch You, Me and Dupree.

If I ever do feel like watching it, I know it's easily available on ITV2 at all times (unless it's one of the days they're showing Along Came Polly, Die Hard 2 or The Scorpion King)

neither have i until last night... there was nothing else on. I was a bit shocked by how bad it was, it actually had a pretty decent cast. Big names, anyway. I don't know what they were thinking.

And LOL about ITV2, the ITV digital channels do seem to have a stock of about 10 films which they show over and over again. you forgot mission impossible, though, and the world is not enough. But they're actually decent, so that's ok. EDIT: die hard 2 is decent as well. I don't think I've actually seen the other two, but have heard bad things...

Yeah, to be fair it might actually be as many as 12 or 15 films, because it includes the first three Die Hards, the M:Is and The Mummy 1 & 2.  And True Lies (or is it BBC who keep showing that?).

yeah, i think it might be itv as well. there's another really obvious one (maybe two) which i can't think of at the moment, but they show it all the time.

fx has a similar thing going on with a couple of the john grishams, too.

Not new films but just watched The Wrestler and Bronson, I thought The Wrestler was amazing, an excellent film, full of bitter sweet moments with a great central performance from Mickey Rourke. Bronson is a mixed bag, Tom Hardy's performance was engrossing but the film is punctuated with shallow violent scene (that tell me nothing) tangled with faux-art movie nonsense (that tell me less).

On the TV front, just finished season 2 of Big Bang Theory, of which I'm a huge fan(boy)

nah, i love it, it's right up my street, but it does feel a bit like Lost 2. Though supposedly it's based on a novel, so if anyone copied, it was probably lost...

Hmmm....... we'll see.  Hope it's not another load of tripe like the Starsky & Hutch and Dukes of Hazzard movies.  :?

I like the casting of Sharlto Copley as Murdock, though.  He'll be good.

Plus Liam Neeson! He is so dreamy.

I watched Children of Men yesterday, and Doom today. Guess which was the better movie? I love The Rock but Children of Men blew me away.
Mississippi Queens, Holydiver.

Wasn't a difficult question that one, seeing as 99.99999999999999999% of all the movies ever made are better than Doom.  :|
