Watching Death Race now (hey, its on Sky Anytime!) - another Jason Statham. Again its pretty terrible. I think I may be growing out of predictable good-because-they're-so-bad action films :(

The original film is pretty fun. I couldn't bear to sit through a Stratham movie though.

just got back from inglourious barstards and actually enjoyed it a lot more than i was expecting to.   its typical tarantino, but not annoyingly so.  he may have got over those things that mde him cool in the 90's and actually moved on a bit

I hope you're right.  I'll probably go and see it, but I suspect it'll annoy me as much as his films always do (Kill Bill onwards).

Sounds tempting, I was looking at the poster at that today.

Just seen The Time Travellers Wife.
Not too bad for what it was, far too many females commenting on how it was different from the book on the walk out...

yeah, i would say inglourious bar-stewards represents more substance and less of the style that have dominated films after pulp fiction.  there are still elements of it there but they dont get in the way of the story like he has allowed to happen in the past

I have just spent the bank holiday weekend at Frightfest, so I've seen 22 films since Thursday evening.

Look out for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and an Australian revenge movie called The Horseman - excellent!

er... i've watched some pretty poor films recently that i'm not sure i should admit to... in my defence, there's been very little decent on tv...

I must try that one year, sounds interesting.

There is a film about Sorrorities out on the 9th of Sept, the trailer seems to be ok. May be more 'teen horror' though.

I saw the time travellers wife the other day. Very very weird

Sorority Row?  It does look very "teen horror", but to be fair I've only seen the poster.

Completely agreed. I expected to hate it considering how much I hate Tarantino's over directing style, but actually found I really enjoyed the movie - There's still alot of annoying Tarantino-isms, but its manageable, and the script makes up for it.
