Which gives me another chance to have my regular moan:

  Why is there no good DVD of Braindead???!!!!!  (or Meet The Feebles for that matter)

Jackson seems to have no interest in his early films.

Yep - I watched it a few weeks ago. Pretty depressing as well as some of that stuff must go on. Rachel Weisz wa in it as well, which was a nice little bonus.

Although depressing I did laugh at the scene at the end with Bill Nighy.

I also watched Knowing a few weeks ago. Absolute tosh with a laughable last 30 mins. I should have known better.
I think I hate being indecisive.

I thought District 9 was very good. Nice to see a big action film without a single American accent! Although his way of saying "$%&#" was rather annoying especially as he says it so often

Has loads of great CGI which I thought was well done :)

What, one of the non-anamorphic, no-extras UK or European DVDs, or the CUT American DVD?  The film deserves way better (IMO of course).

Couldn't be bothered to check previous posts, anyone seen District 9? Or anything recent? What's this Dorian Grey one?

I've watched District 9 tonight, quite an odd film really. Enjoyed it though!  :D

As for Dorian Grey I know he's a figure from Victorian (I think) literature who doesn't grow old but his portrait does? Aside from that I don't know anything else about it.

I know the book quite well ( being an Oscar Wilde fan and all). It'll be interesting to see what they make of it.

I saw a trailer - it looks like they've Hollywooded-it-up quite a lot!

Bad taste

I was at the UK premier of that film with about 15 other people. It broke down in the middle as it was in Aberystwyth Arts Centre for the Welsh International Film Festival back in 92 or 93 IIRC. I think they'd run out of 50 pence pieces.

Went to see District 9 yesterday, apart from the horrible South African accents and motion sickness it was a really good movie.

The lead actor in it (can't remember his name nor the characters) is actually from Johannesburg, so youd've thought his South African accent would've been good  atleast
