3:10 to Yuma.

Fairly decent and gritty 'old styled' western.

I assume it was the Bale/Crowe version.  Have you seen the original, with Glenn Ford and Van Heflin?

1,000,000,000,000 times better.  :D
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Sadly Philly I didn't even know it was a cover version (not sure what the film definition of that is).  :o I might have to look it up.

I'm assuming you didn't like the Bale/Crowe one.
I think I hate being indecisive.

The remake is OK as remakes go, but they changed the ending so it's more "dramatic" but doesn't really make sense any more.

The original (1957) is more "psychological", with less action but a much better atmosphere.  I'd recommend it if you get a chance to see it.  :)

Saw 9 last night, movie done by the same studio as Coraline.

Incredible animation, very styalised, dystopian future type stuff. Just my thing.

I enjoyed it, but the plot was a little rushed, and the characters a little thin, sort of thing you expect from animated movies, though Pixar keep raising the bar.. Will deffo go see UP! Soon.

I've seen the 2D version - that was very good. Maybe I should give 3D a go! Is it really bad 1980s 3D stylee?

Naww it was done really really well - there was an old couple opposite us howling and jumping everytime something flew toward them, it was funny as hell. I did feel like a pilock wearing two sets of glasses though, atleast it was dark!

In other news

Heroes got really boring

Fringe got really good

Dollhouse is shaping up OK

Supernatural is utterly rocking.

Not films, I know but there you have it!

They don't use the old red/blue lenses any more. They now have some pretty clever circular polarising lenses in them, and the whole 3D illusion works a LOT better.

quite a few girls at school are pushing the lenses out of the 3d glasses and wearing them as a fashion statement in a velma from scooby doo way.

i think tv shows have been mentioned in here a bit, so here's a word of warning- do NOT watch Being Erica (i think that's the name... something like that) on E4 (unless you enjoy watching stuff which is terrible to laugh at how bad it is). In my defence, there was nothing else on, and figured I'd give it a shot. It. Was. Horrible. I think it's the worst thing I've seen since I decided to give Will and Grace a chance... o_O

haha you look about 10 in that pic.

Going to see Up later, probably in 2D though as I already have a headache which 3D would probably exacerbate :\
