Australia: what total cr*p, one of the worst films I've seen. The characters are all cartoons and the acting is more hammy that an amateur dramatic production of Pirates of Penzance, just terrible.

The Invention of Lying: A good idea but not a good film. I'm a Ricky Gervais fan but there's just not enough jokes in the script to lift it about the romcom main stream. Quite similar to Ghost Town, sweet but no edge, run-of-the-mill.

On the TV front, I've watched True Blood Series 1 and Mad Men Series 2 both of which were great.
A generous heart, kind speech and a life of service & compassion are the things which renew humanity

Went to see Book of Eli last night, I enjoyed it. The only "problem" was that I got a bit annoyed with the lack of colour in places, it was almost too dark and plain, although I guess that was sort of the point given the story. The last big shoot-out scene was really good, pretty clever camera work, I really want to know how it was done! Oh and Mila Kunis is so hot :)

Just watched District 9. Not bad at all!
I think I hate being indecisive.

The Hurt Locker - just watched and now really want to see again but in HD. Can imagine the opening scene looks really good with all the slow motion stuff going on.

Went and saw "The Wolfman" yesterday.  In general I do not recommend it.

I went to see Solomon Kane.  It is, of course, hokum.  But if you like fantasy/action hokum which is brave enough to take itself seriously - no comedy one-liners here - you may like it.  I loved it to pieces.  :D

no comedy one liners? Don't make me post that bond youtube link again! Every movie can be improved by more one-liners, surely?

No, no, no, no, no, no, no and NO.

One liners have their (very small) place.  But that place is NOT in sword & sorcery movies.  :P

Tonight I watched Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer ( :| ).  And a Japanese black comedy, of sorts, called Funuke, Show Some Love, You Losers (very good indeed).

I quite fancied seeing The Wolfman, but now I've learned it's just a rip off of Twilight: New Moon

I've just started having to wear glasses for reading, watching tv and driving. Everything looks HD when I put em on.
