A Serbian Film.. I'm not really sure why me and my mates decided to watch this, but it was very, very wrong. Yet it was really well made with good dialogue in places, and nice lighting.

Did you see it uncut, Tom, or the BBFC certified version?

Yep it was the uncut version. I think I have an idea which scenes they'd probably take out!

Ah!  I was supposed to see it at Frightfest in the summer, but Westminster Council made a fuss and it ended up getting pulled from the festival (we got Buried instead).

Not being a downloader, I'll have to make do with the cut version.  I'm not too bothered, I don't think I'm going to like it very much anyway....
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

You'll be able to order an uncut one from abroad if you're bothered.

If the scenes I'm thinking of are the ones which were pulled, then I don't think they really add much to the "story" anyway.

Last night I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Much better than I was expecting - Emma Watson was looking pretty good as well.
I think I hate being indecisive.

i got a copy of black swan the other day - just flicking through to check quality i stopped at natalie portman masturbating, mila kunis going down on natalie portman and two other inetersting scenes... may have to put this on my cinema list ;)

that makes me sound like a dirty old man - but it is supposed to be a good film

watched some cr@p recently including the expendables (just as you would expect and fine if you know what to expect), pirana (i like the original, but spring break has a much different meaning these days) and skyline (good visuals, hardly any story but would make a good tv scifi movie)

*downloads Black Swan*

Has anyone seen Tron Legacy yet and if so any good for a mindless action film with 3D fun bits?

Mostly the latter I'm afraid. Jeff Bridges is good in it, but I found the rest of the cast annoying.

Mindless action, enjoyable nonetheless, but mindless.

The missus asked me to download this, and I have down but we've no watched it yet. I thought it was just gonna be a dull ballet biopic, albiet with bonnie lassies in it, and couldn't understand why Elaine wanted me to get it.

All makes sense now.

just watched it through, not like its a party night tonight or anything.   it looks like i managed to hit all the raunchy scenes on my last flick through... but i really enjoyed the film.  It is far from a dull ballet biopic.   It starts of subtle and as expected.  Things starts getting a bit odd, it goes from strength to strength.  nicely dark and disturbing - but subtley so (for the most part)

gonna have to pay and go see it now! ;)

Inception - Good film but not the classic some reviews some have made it out to be. Essentially a heist movie where the 'bank vault' is hidden within the targets subconscious... very postmodern! I also found the film to be nowhere near as confusing as reported, it's much smarter than the average action flic but its no indie art-house project. DiCaprio plays a character oddly similar to the lead in Shutter Island. Strange that he should portray two almost identical roles in such a short period of time and yet make no effort to differentiate the performances. Definitely worth a watch.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - Amazing visual treat, a must watch for anyone interested in graphics. As I was watching, I though all the visual quirks would soon become tiresome but they pull it off by constantly upping their ambition with stunning results near the end. The script isn't particularly good, many of the jokes fall flat for me. The film's possibly a little longer than it should be, they needed to cram all the 'duels' in. The music was excellent, Spaced fans will instantly recognise Edgar Wright 'fingerprints'... highly recommended.

scott pilgrim is canadian - the jokes are a bit flat and understated ;)

i just watched inception again too.  it is a good film but its not confusing to me either.  Then again i remember being told the matrix would blow my mind (by some chavvy student nurses), whilst i enjoyed it, i never thought it was as complicated as some people obviously did!   But with inception i really do like the playing with time. we could argue if he is still in a dream all day - and thats really the point.  But i am still not sure why anti-gravity only makes it down to the next level of dream - but music or a mortal wound go down two or three :?

The music only goes down one level. In each level they put a new set of headphones on one of the people who has gone down to the next one to pull them out.

The wound I guess is because it travels down with the consciousness of the person.

they all hear the music, but less clear in the snowy mountains... wasnt paying enough attention - was it the architect of each level who got the headphones???

i just think they could have had a couple of big jumps and weird physics in the snowy action bit and connected it back to the previous dream state the way they had with the lessening affect of the music

Everyone hears the music, but only the music being played the level above I thought?

I though Juno was the architect of all the levels.

Bananas broken-physics in the snow chase scenes was certainly a missed opportunity.
