Glad to hear that you are still able to play.  Give the Preacher a work out, if your hearing is going, just turn up the amp a bit more - that should fix it  :)

Seriously though, I hope that you can enjoy your time and I wish you all the best and hope that your doctors are wrong and you can recover.

Great to hear from you again JT! It's really good to hear you can still play. As Phil said, crank it up! 8)

You're in my thoughts dude.

Well, do to the OK i got i am gonna post some Leslie Nielsen quotes about death from the movie Naked Gun (the first one).  I started cracking up again when i read these, it has been some time since i saw the movie.  So here it goes:

Frank: A good cop - needlessly cut down by some cowardly hoodlums.
Ed: No way for a man to die.
Frank: No... you're right, Ed. A parachute not opening... that's a way to die. Getting caught in the gears of a combine... having your nuts bit off by a Laplander, that's the way I wanna go.
Wilma Nordberg: [cries] Oh... Frank. This is terrible.
Ed: Don't you worry Wilma. Your husband is going to be alright. Don't you worry about anything. Just think positive. Never let a doubt enter your mind.
Frank: He's right, Wilma. But I wouldn't wait until the last minute to fill out those organ donor cards.
[Wilma cries again]
Ed: What I'm trying to say is that Wilma, as soon as Nordburg is better, he's welcome back at Police Squad.
Frank: Unless he's a drooling vegetable. But I think that's only common sense...
[Wilma cries again]

Another classic one (!):

Frank: It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
Jane: Goodyear?
Frank: No, the worst.

These quotes sure cheered me up, i hope they do the same for all of you, ESPECIALLY you JT.
BKPz: Nailbomb+VHII, more to come...

Wow....i'm sorry to hear.. my mum passed away from breast cancer in December just before Christmas but i can't begin to imagine what it must be like for you - all i can say is keep fighting - miracles CAN and do happen.

My mum 3 years ago was told she had 2-3 weeks to live however she recovered and the cancer seemed to go away (however it came back as it always does)

Best wishes to you and your family, JT.
Your Kong 2 clip was one of the first BK clips I heard, got me into the whole BKP thang, and the forum. I still listen to it now, in fact.

I can only hope something changes and you recover.

Just came across this thread after being away from the forum for a while. :( I can only impotently echo the good words of those who've posted before me:

I've never met you, JT, but if you're still reading (or even if you're not), I want to say that your words on the forum -- and of course your work off of it -- have made such a difference to so many musicians.  As terrible as it is for us to hear of your situation, we know it is immeasurably more terrible for you to be in it. But your courage and strength are an inspiration to us all, and each one of us can only hope to to stare the reaper in the eye with your fortitude when our days come.  If there turns out to be an after-party, we'll hope to see you there.

:D I deided to let all of my fellow BK forum members know what was happening because at some point I would not be able to type. And then i`d suddenly disapear. I have to much respect for the forum & it`s members to just disapear. This forum is the only site i`ve come across. It`s played a part of my life. I appriciate all of the responses

Cheers JT

I've not been on for a while so I have only just caught this.

There is nothing that I can add to what people have already but JT, I admire your courage and upbeat attitude in light of the situtation. Positive Mental Attitude.

Just to let you guys on this great forum know that John (jt) passed peacefully away at 0345 on Wednesday morning.  Up tp last Thursday jt and I were talking about recording and finishing some of his demos off, but he took a massive turn for the worst over the weekend.  He was a big fan of this site and BK pickups, and you guys have been a huge support over the last 16 rollercoaster months in John's life.  He was playing guitar and arguing about football - well anything really - up till Monday morning. I said goodbye to him just 3 hours before he died.  He insisted that I should have his Feline guitar - The Preacher - and I promised that I'd play it every day and get some recording done with it.  So I guess sometime soon I'll register on this site myself!  Thanks again evryone, and see ya soon.  Chris
