Cab tolex source

Does anyone know of good (and reasonably priced) tolex suppliers that has UK shipping? I'm ideally after some black basketweave, but the only places i can find it, are rather expensive.

I'm covering my open backed 2x12, so i need about 140"x26" worth of tolex (plenty for the cabinet and the rear panel)... it's about time it got covered, has been over a year since i built it!

Built it from scratch- took rough measurements from my Marshall 1936, but it's slightly shorter, wider and a little bit deeper (and open backed, which the 1936 isn't). I've got a big 24 track recording assignment coming up in the next couple of months, and i'm going to be using this cab for recording rather than the Marshall- it sounds much better all round i think. I'm probably going to build another one sometime in the summer, it should be even better :)

I still have a fairly good stash of Marshall black tolex left over from when i made the huge fake speaker cabinet that housed the flatscreen that I used at the London Guitar show

YOu have to cover the cab once to get the tolex stretched right and then you do it again and stick it down. Not sure which glue though.

In a similar manner, where do you get speaker grille cloth from? All the places I've seen want about 20 quid for enough to cover a 4x12 cab, which seems pretty expensive to me (or am I just being a miserly bugger?)?

Cheers in advance!

I just call Matamp and ask if they'll sell me some - they're always very accomodating.

Even better (if you fancy a drive out) is getting Matamp to recover or re-grille the cab for you.  It's breathtaking watching Jeff at work and noting how quick and accurate the guy is at this stuff.
