^ Agreed

But the blue/blackburst is really nice looking.

Pity that they don't come with a rosewood neck option...

When you mentioned the maple top Mira I didn't like the sound of it, but the blue looks really good (I could do without the birds though).

Don't like the 3-tone burst though, the scratchplate stands out too much against the light finish.  Might look OK with a white scratchplate though - it would give it almost a Mosrite vibe!

Not bad, but I prefer the solid colours.

The turquoise one is still my favourite. Mmmm.

they had them at the london guitar show.

There were two colours at the show. They said there was a blue and possibly others to come. They didnt want to comment on the cost yet.

Did they say anything about (and Dave knows what I'm going to say here....)

.... a 22-fret version?

Say it, Jonny!  I think it suits the blue one just fine.

But I still think they should have had a 5-way switch rather than a 3-way plus mini-switch (which is effectively the same as the normal toggle switch plus push-pull arrangement).

I believe there are 22 fretters and P-90 versions in the works, but nothing confirmed as yet.  I don't even know if the maple tops are new standard production guitars or a special run.

Re. the scratchplate, it's the way it is as apparantly PRS may dabble with the configuration in the future.  They then don't have to worry about body routing etc as it's all on a scratchplate.

I like the Mira just as it is, no maple top and all.  But that blue one does look incredibly tasty to my eyes...

that's quite nice actually. like philly i didn't like the sound of it, but it looks pretty good. need to try one, and a 22 fret version would be nice... i like my shredder guitars to have 24, but my more vintage-orientated guitars to have 22 for the slightly sweeter neck pickup tone...

Meh. I'm really not into maple tops that aren't carved. It still looks kinda cheap but it's robbed of the simplicity that made it cool.
