SGmypod said it, I just agreed! Can I (horsehead) just say EVH is over-rated & anybody that has been in Metallica
I was just about to mention Cliff, then I saw the edit!
Speaking of incredible bassists, Stu Hamm slayed at the Joe Satriani concert last night. I've never seen anyone shred on bass like that before.

In no particular order as well...1. Gary Moore2. Frank Marino3. Jimi Hendrix4. Joe Bonamassa5. Tom Rogers...jk, sorry there, it'd have to be Jimmy PageFunny how they mainly did blues rock music. I'd add Robin Trower, but then he'd be 6
Page is overrated because he steals someone else's entire technique and composition (e.g. White Summer = She Moved Thro The Fair trad. arrangement by Davey Graham, e.g. Blackmountainside, = Blackwaterside trad. arrangement Bert Jansch, similar Janschisms on Going to California e.g. countless Delta blues licks from old Mississippian's who only have become available in the CD/download era) and credits it to himself.Still, you gotta love Plaigey - he is a absolutely stunning guitarist when he does his own thing and always puts great new twists into the stuff he nicks.i.e. - not really overrated at all.
