I like your thinking Indy. Very similar to my perfect spec except mine would be more  like a Tele "Jr" type, ie set neck 2 x P90's made of mahogany.
Send three and fourpence we're going to a dance

Cool thread!

My custom would look like this

The headstock looks a bit too big in proportion to everything else.  But damn do i ever love black Korina.

First impression: weird!
Some time later: strange, beautifull

How much for the puppy, do you know Indy?

The non-word 'fideous' springs to mind...  Still, as long as you're not buying all the NICE guitars, that leaves more choice for the rest of us :D

In answer to the original post, no I've never yet been able to find "my perfect guitar" off the shelf. :(

Can't find a price anywhere, not even on the dealer pages, although a couple of their other models are on the Sounds Great website for £1300 and £1400, so I'll have to be looking around that sort of price mark I'd imagine :| . I think I'll have to email them.

I like the Fano concept so much that I've actually started thinking about modding one of my Juniors with a second pickup and a Tele control plate.   It might not quite work because of the location of the existing controls, but I like the idea....

.....oh Indy, what have you started?

Actually £1300-£1400 doesn't sound too bad, I was expecting a fair bit more than that.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I'm not sure if I've ever seen my ultimate guitar as such, but this is my favourite from the Fano site - and there's very little I'd want to change about it. :)

I'm not keen on the ones with maple necks, but that one is gorgeous!

Haha sorry Philly. I know the price seems quite reasonable when you compare it to other guitars in the price range, it's just that that price range isn't at all reasonable for a poor student who's loan ran out months ago, and is currently paying rent for two houses without having a proper job. :(

Yeah sorry Indy, I didn't mean to sound like it was cheap as chips so you should be out there buying one .  It just seemed relatively inexpensive given the astronomical price I was expecting.
