From what I heard today, it looks like he's now turned it down!

Did anyone else heatr that the 3 J's were practicing with an american singer? I hope it's Chris Robinson

I had read that story.  I wonder who the singer is - maybe someone Jason has worked with before like Mike Matijevic from Steelheart, he'd be good.

Not Jeff scott Soto I hope....

Matjivec isn't quite so spot on any more.
It would be a hard choice though, someone similar to Plant, or a whole different direction

Maybe they could go back to the start and get Terry Reid.  He doesn't quite look the part nowadays though.

Never heard Taylor Hawkins sing, bet he's good! But Taylor fronting Zep? That would be surreal! :o  I'd still pay to see that though.

If this does go ahead they really should use a different name.

It was fair enough with Jason standing in for his dad for the tribute concert, but they can't go off and do a full tour with another singer and call it Led Zeppelin.

great white did a whole album of Zeppelin covers called Great Zeppelin.  that's what i call wearing your influences on your sleeve!

how about Lenny Wolf of Kingdom Come? he does a pretty good Plant too.

i could have done it myself a couple of years ago but i've buggered my voice :(  er, quite apart from the fact no one's ever heard of me and they wouldn't ask me anyway...

oops then :O)

well I would prefer if they'd go with someone utterly different but compatible, for example Chris Cornell, he could do alternative versions of their songs. Or the guy from Black Crowes did quite well.

A Plante rip off that would just be silly ...
