^ People will think I'm strange, but those look kind of "edible" in that picture Wez :D

I've never come across a piece of wood in real life that makes me want to start munching, but every now and then a photo of woods on here triggers some sort of munchies...

They look really, er, tasty

Very nice.  Interesting neckplate!  I have all the different shapes in Warmoth necks and they vary a bit with the nut width.  My favourites are the Clapton, SRV and Wolfgang, though the standards are nice too.

Wez - they look great - but are they heavy?

Wez, just PLEASE don't make a ****ing telecaster with those mac ebony "necks".... Seriously, such nice wood should not be wasted on such a totally lame body shape!!!!

It's a bit like old fat men with bad facial hair (mentioning no Chemistry department heads at Oxford's names) driving Jaguar XKRs - it simply should not happen!

Nice one Fernando, do you have a picture of the back of the neck?

I'm on work now, when I get in home I'll take some pics of the back!

Crikey, that looks amazing!  Does it need a finish, or can you leave it as bare wood?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

Wenge doesn't need a finish, as Rosewood, Bubinga, Canary, Ebony, Ziricote............ :D

That looks excellent! Very nice woods, well chosen combination as well.

Wez (or anyone else that knows): Does Macassar ebony have the same tonal attributes as the other ebony species?

mac ebonu is a good wood.  Its not liek the pure black ebony that stends to be a bit brittle - its actually much more like a rosewood because its not the extreme that gaboon ebony is... some people will tell you its just like brazilian rosewood - personally i am not going to jump on that band wagon........ but it is ;)  As phil says, its a little heavy so will make a heavy neck but that should be fine as long as its paired with an aproppriate body... anything with the strap button at 16th fret or less should work fine

i like the wenge neck you have fernando.. but that run out on the headstock looks a bit drastic - but i trust warmoth so i am sure its ok.  I like wenge with the minimal finshes... a rub down with wax works best

Hummm never played it before (also the guitar is not finished), but never heard about this Wez... completely new to me, always been told that the only difference is the color :?

And from where came your Macassars? :D
