That amp is GORGEOUS!

And Cornford lead tones are incredible, and pretty high gain, and also hand wired?

Are Diezel etc, also Point to point or?

I've never seen an appealling Cornford amp, and the Herbert/VH4/Einstein are all pretty "Gimme your wallet, oh wait, you wanted change? Sorry"
"Would you like some lemon oil?"
"Oh, no thanks, I don't eat fruit."

I do like the white.

How come custom builders don't build metal amps? Or at least, I haven't seen any. And by metal I mean the br00talz!!!(etc.)

Egnater and Peters custom build high gain stuff.

Most amp makers in Brazil make it if you ask (soldano, jcm 800, mesa boogies clones...)
But here it's like: "do what appears in the shop or die starving" as I understand...

Had it cranked for a couple of hours before the neighbour came home, I wont try and describe how happy I am because I will sound like a raving loony but I cant stop grinning. The picture does the amp no justice, it's the cutest looking halfstack ever.

I've seen them man - over on the Andy Sneap forum someone had a $3,000 metal amp custom built for them, sounded very, very nice too. No idea who it is or what it was called though!

The trouble with very high gain amps is noise and having to be so very careful with signal paths to keep noise etc to a minimum
It is very hard to do with a hand-wired amp - so much easier to control with a PCB and that usually lends itself to larger makers.
that too. :)
