Hamer Vector Korina
« on: December 22, 2008, 11:40:32 PM »
Firstly a merry christmas to everyone, i know i don't post very often as i never really get a chance, but i have a broken ankle at the moment so i'm housebound and as a result spending more time online!

I have a Hamer Vector Korina at the moment and i am contemplating selling it. I have been too generous in the past when it comes to selling guitars and I was wondering if anyone would know roughly what these fetch second hand? Its one year old and is in immaculate condition.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

How much did you get it for?

I'd imagine between a grand and a half and 18 ton would be fair, but whether the market would stick it is another question.

Aye, I wouldn't sell it now. You'd be selling at the 'I just want to get rid of it' price too soon, with the CC and all.

No idea about the price, but I wish I could afford to buy it!

Since it's highly unlikely that I'll ever own a genuine '58 Flying V, that Hamer's the next best thing as far as I'm concerned.

I couldn't find them any cheaper than what you paid.

Fact is that most people who drop that kind of cash wanna have a maple topped PRS or Gibson VOS or something. Those Hamers are a bit special and it might take a while until you find an interested buyer.

But if you go for 1999 GBP it should be fair (given its condition is immaculate).

Hey guys thanks for the advice! The reason i am thinking about selling it is because i miss the les pauls i have sold, i just love the tone of a good les paul. The hamer is bright and it isn't agressive sounding enough for me.

Here are some pics!

What condition are the frets in? Any mods or dings done?

Hey Lew, the frets have minimal wear and no mods at all. The only thing that i would do to the guitar is put new pickup covers on as they came slightly blemished. By that i mean that they are not quite level, so when light shines on the covers, its looks like they are dented. Its weird, i just have never got round to changing them! There is a slight score where the rubber leg rest has been attached, but thats it.
