I've been to many many many many concerts.  I was a concert junkie.  I can tell you one of the best live bands and one of the worst live bands.
1. One of the best was Alice Cooper.  He puts on a great show.  It was like a heavy rocking musical.  Costumes and everything...
2. Worst was White Zombie.

Fear Factory also disappointed me by playing 2 songs and walking out way back in the day.  I have no respect for that..
Mississippi Queen Set = Gibson SG Standard
Warpig = '88 Charvel Model 1

I have seen lots of concerts in New Orleans :( , and in Gulfport . The very last ones were BB King, Kenny Wayne Sheppard(this was the third time), Dickie Betts, Dr. John, and some other great acts on the same bill. That same week Def Leppard in NO,( I had to see Vivian Campbell). And this same year Metallica, and Godsmack(3 times) also in NO. It will be a while before I get to see anything around here. As consolation I am going in november to see U2 in Atlanta. You are very lucky indeed. :)

If there is one band you HAVE to see live, it’s Rammstein....

He's got a point... anyone would enjoy rammstein live! even if ur not into german industrial rubbish! especially if you're a pyro

Even if it’s not your kind of music, you can’t say they are rubbish, they write good songs and they've got one of the best drummers in metal! They've done well to break the world market singing in their native language.
It’s not just the fire that makes them good live it’s the energy and stage presence they have... And the fact that they play all of their songs spot on!

Ah, yeah, plus 1 for Alice.  Only some him once, in Boston some years back now, but it was exactly as Shag101 describes.  Nice to see the spectacle back/still in rock. :)

Oh, one more (though it doesn't really count since the lineup doesn't exist anymore): Allman Brothers in the early 90s with Dickey and Warren.  I saw 'em several times back then and they were really incredible, IMO.  I'm way too young to have seen the band with Duane, but based on the recordings, I think the Dickey/Warren team took them more consistently to higher places than the Duane/Dickey team (though I'll leave open the possibility that the Duane/Dickey peak moments were better).

Oh oh!  Yet one more:  Clutch!  Great live shows!  I dig the guitar sound, too.  Check 'em out ....

really small emo ninja girls :(

that would be a hell of a name for a band!

i agree with the Alice Cooper people, it's 16 years since i saw him, but it was fantastic.  best live band i've seen, at least that sticks in my head, was Love/Hate.  Skid and his Bud cross will never be forgotten!

Nevermore are a brilliant live band, as are Dark Tranquility.... they seem to give it 120% and be pretty much flawless

one of the best gigs I've been to was InMe (I dont even like them, I went with a mate) at the Northampton Roadmender, tiny place but it was a good time! Also Velvet Revolver put on a really good show at the NEC, Janes Addiction at Wolves Civic hall is also one of my best!

jane's is awesome, possibly my favourite band (apart from strays :x ) i got a dvd of them playing the Roxy in 87, its seriously good. i couldnt make it to see them on that tour, i wanted to but i figured they'd come round again sometime...doh!

Now i have to make do with The Panic Channel (again:  :x ), but Satellite Party is all good. :D
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away...

Pink Floyd at Earls court in 94,
Dream Theater at Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall in 93 (with Kevin Moore in the band, IMHO they have not been the same since he quit) and Rush last year at the NEC.
VHII's, Nailbomb's & Irish Tours :-)

Yeah, I dont think strays is that good compared to their old albums. I still like a few on strays though
