Me too! Although I haven't really bought anything recently.

EDIT - apart from the signature lp I recently bought from Twinfan!

I kind of see your point, but you'll need to elaborate in case I'm kicking myself.

But I don't really see me buying shitee just to get my post count up.

I'm trying to keep the guitar buying urges back a bit to be honest, until I have a place of my own then I'll be spamming group shots like a mad man.

But I wouldn't think to buy something for the reason to post. Bit silly.

This is obviously about the forum, so I might as well give a little thought of my own:

I feel this forum has suddenly gone down the drain somewhat. A few are nitpicks but others are just - annoying as $%&#, I suppose the other side of the spectrum would be.

And as well as before this 'period' there were a few things that I found distasteful and somewhat - unfair I suppose, but that's life.

If you have your prized possession in the form of a guitar or amp or whatever, I'm sure you're gonna want to flash it if everyone else does it (Twinfan's and various other gas threads spring to mind), then simply why not?

Of course it'd be just plain silly to buy a piece of gear to flash it deliberately....

if people only bought gear to show it off here, why isn't there a new pick day thread :P

It's the nature of forums.  We talk about 'stuff', buying new 'stuff' is interest to the other posters on the forum, so we post 'stuff'.  Happens with guitars, pickups, bikes, train sets, whatever!

Not sure what you mean about this forum 'going down the drain' Jonny?  What's the problem?

Would be cheaper tp 'say' I bought a few things and show them off - like that nice R9 i just 'bought' for £3456897876790 (+ VAT) - honest

It is nice to show your stuff off to people who appreciate it - If i ring my brother and tell him about my spangly new 335 I just bought he would go 'a 33 what' - isn't that a BMW?

I saw a kind of prestige-ness in this forum, but recently it's getting tarnished.

Is that a prestige-ness in terms of how we communicate to each other on here or a prestige-ness in terms of equipment/gear (or both!)

Would it be better if we had a separate section for all the NGD/ NAD  and look at all my stuff  categories?

I have certainly been a little less active on here  for a while and feel that that feel of the place has changed a bit when I look in.
