well, we are the only school in the are open.  Lots of very unhappy students and even more unhappy staff :(   in fairness there isnt any reason to be off today but i think everyone convinced themselves we would be

Wifey has a 70 mile round trip for work and isn't feeling too great anyway.  Told her this morning she had to stay here (she's still in bed at the minute).  I'm working shirking from home again today.  Any excuse  :D

Plenty of snow around here (South Wales) today. Had to walk 7 miles into work - roads down the several hills from where I live were impassable by car, and no buses were running on the main roads. Wouldn't have been a problem if the soles on my 10-year-old hiking boots hadn't disintergrated and torn off halfway there.  :(

Most of the snow seems to have gone in Leicester (in the main bits of the city anyway) but the stuff that turned to slush on Monday has all iced over so the un-gritted paths are bloody slippy, takes twice as long to get anywhere because you have to go so slowly :x

Back home in Loddington, Northants, all the snow seems to have stayed except on the roads which were gritted. Looks nice out my window looking over the fields :)

Get someone with a car to give you a lift to Stoney Stanton.  Good place for a pint.

Been to The Musician yet?  Have some good music (suprisingly) in there.
