hehe, i agree with ted 'n' leo, funny wouldn't really be the word i'd use to describe it, it was more a drama with some funny bits (the bit where the dad said he didn't know he had it in him was funny). It wasn't terrible or anything, but i'm a bit contrary, and anything which is hyped to the extent which juno was, I'm liable to dislike unless it absolutely rules.
A
drama???!!! A film can be a comedy and have serious bits - it doesn't have to be 90 minutes of wanking jokes and infantile face-pulling by the likes of Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey (not that I'm suggesting that's your definition of comedy! ). Oh well, it's a waste of time categorising things anyway. We'll have to agree to disagree.
As for the hype, I saw Juno at the London Film Festival before there
was any hype, so that's irrelevant to me. It's not the fault of a film if it's hyped, the hype exists entirely
outside of it. The film deserves to be judged on its own merits. I think Juno's a great film, but there you go.
Sorry, way OT.
