A simple standard Crybaby is the obvious answer.

The bog standard Dunlop Cry Baby (or one of its many variants) will do the job.  Personally I think the design has a few disadvantages: firstly, you have to depress the pedal fully down to click the siwtch & turn it on, so the wah starts from the "top" of the sweep.  Also, it's a bit top heavy - I've tipped them over when not glued to a pedal board before & they do get a bit crackly & wear out after a while...

But IMHO the Morley Bad Horsie is the best wah out there.  For starters it's switchless - the pedal is spring loaded in the "back" position.  You simply move it off the bottom & the wah turns on, take your foot off it & it goes back & turns off.  Also, it's whisper quiet, Morley typically put a wider, deeper sweep on them & they are built like tanks! :)

I use a standard CryBaby live, and Martin uses a Bad Horsie.  As Antag and MDV say, they're the two main options with their own pros/cons.  I'd try one of those as a starting point  :)

I bought a Bad Horsie II and sold it almost immediately.

Only worked for me with high gain sounds - sounded terrible clean, to my ears.

I have a Colorsound, but I'm not sure that they're still made.  Crybaby would be the best bet.

i use a crybaby from hell.

the morley spring loading looks aight. but id like to be able to take my foot off the wah and leave it on.

the crybaby has no led so you cant tell when its on. that can be an issue sometimes.

crybaby's aint bad and pretty cheap second hand.

CFH has the variable toe freq range, and variable heel freq range and the q control and a gain boost.
its pretty tech.

im waiting on a new wah though...... excited

i recently lined Ed's pockets and bought the EVH wah, has a great vocal like midrange. The old George Dennis wahs are very good too, can be had for a good price on the bay.

my standard crybaby was tough.
i got a homebrew electronics medicine bawl wah, which looked and sounded cool.
but that got KICKED by someone running across the stage and it never worked reliably ever again.

If anyone has a broken standard crybaby id like to buy it. i just need the chassis!
my old crybaby chassis has a stripped out screw hole on the under side so one of the feet likes to fall out, and i have a chicago iron parachute kit coming which needs a crybaby chassis to fit in.

why don't you simply glue the fault foot?
